Manimo

manimo weighted plush animals are designed and made in Quebec by FDMT. Each one is filled with polyethylene beads so it rests with gentle, even weight across the shoulders, lap or chest — deep pressure input that many children and adults find settling during homework, quiet time, or the wind-down before bed.

The weighted animals come as a dog, cat, turtle and lizard, in 1 kg and 2 kg. Alongside them, manimo sleepies are lighter bedtime companions, each packaged with a sensory fidget and an illustrated story, and the Moon Balls are textured stress balls that fit in a hand or a pencil case.

Choosing a weight

Occupational therapists who reviewed the weighted animals for the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists advise choosing roughly 10–12% of the user's body weight, and using it only with someone able to lift and move it off themselves. Recommended from age three. If you're unsure, ask an occupational therapist rather than sizing upward.
