An immersion blender shaped like a lightsaber hilt, and a genuinely usable one. The 300 W DC motor and variable speed control handle the jobs a stick blender is actually for — puréeing a pot of soup without decanting it into a jug, emulsifying a sauce, pulling a smoothie together in the glass it will be drunk from. The body is ABS plastic finished to read as metal, with a soft-touch non-slip grip and a ring of rubber ridges down the handle that stand in for a lightsaber's control section. The coloured stainless steel shaft unscrews from the body, so the part that goes into the food is the only part that needs washing and the motor housing stays dry. Fifteen inches assembled. All components are food safety tested.
