The Sharp EL377W features an extra-large 10-digit LCD that displays crisp, clear digits to prevent reading errors, set behind an acrylic panel that wipes clean. Durable keys are appropriately spaced for fast, accurate data entry, and a backspace key allows quick single-digit corrections instead of clearing and starting the calculation again. Automatic tax keys handle everyday pricing, and a percent key and square root key cover the rest of the routine arithmetic. A four-key independent memory keeps a running subtotal separate from the main calculation. Twin-power operation runs on solar energy with a battery backup to provide consistent, reliable performance in any environment, and automatic power down protects the cell when the calculator is put away.
