This is STAEDTLER's mixed watercolour set: three water-soluble graphite pencils, twelve watercolour pencils in assorted colours, a water brush, an eraser and a metal sharpener, in a cardboard box. The point of the combination is that a single sketch can be worked dry, then partly dissolved — graphite tones and colour washes from the same drawing. The pencils are hexagonal, sharpen with standard sharpeners, and work dry in bright colour as well as wet. The wider range runs to 48 colours.
