This is the sketching set of 8 pencils in assorted degrees. The graphite is finely graded so tones step evenly rather than jumping, and it lays down with a subtle metallic lustre. It resists breaking both in the sharpener and on the page, and reproduces consistently — the same pressure gives the same stroke every time. The range runs 24 degrees from 12B to 10H.
