Genuine SHARP activated carbon deodorizing filter for the FPK50UW Plasmacluster® Ion small-room air purifier. It is the second of the FPK50UW’s three filtration stages, sitting between the washable pre-filter and the True HEPA filter and absorbing the common household odours a particle filter cannot hold — cooking, smoke, pets and general staleness. SHARP rates it for up to two years of service depending on the environment. Carbon works by adsorption, so once the media is saturated it simply stops removing odours; replacing it on schedule restores the deodorizing performance the unit shipped with, and protects the True HEPA filter behind it from loading up early. Supplied as a single filter — the True HEPA filter (FZK50HFU) is a separate part.
