It sits in the middle of the three-stage filtration system, between the washable microscreen pre-filter and the True HEPA filter, and works on what a particle filter cannot hold — cooking smells, smoke, pets and the everyday background odours of a busy household. SHARP rates it for up to two years of service depending on the environment. A saturated carbon filter stops adsorbing, so replacing it on schedule is what keeps the purifier’s deodorizing performance where it started; it also protects airflow through the stack and the working life of the True HEPA filter behind it. Supplied as a single filter — the True HEPA filter (FZP11HFU) and humidifying filter (FZP11MFU) are separate parts.
