Genuine SHARP humidifying filter for the KC850U, KC860U and KCC100U Plasmacluster® air purifiers with built-in humidifier. On these models the humidifying filter is what carries water from the tank into the airflow, so its condition sets how much moisture the unit can actually add to a room — the KC850U is rated at 1.3 pints per hour for 250 sq. ft. spaces and the KC860U at 1.5 pints per hour for 300 sq. ft. spaces. SHARP rates the filter for up to two years after opening depending on the environment; mineral scale gradually limits how much water the media can carry, so replacement is what restores full humidifying output. Supplied as a single filter — the True HEPA and deodorizing filters are separate parts.
