The PFI-4100 Chroma Optimizer is not a colour — it is a clear coat laid over the print by the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 as part of the LUCIA PRO II system. It evens out the surface across inked and uninked areas, so gloss is uniform across the whole sheet and bronzing in dark, heavily inked passages is suppressed. It holds 80 ml, installs in its own slot alongside the colour tanks and is replaced independently of them.
