Drum 049 is the imaging drum for the imageCLASS LBP113w and MF113w, and it is a separate consumable from the Cartridge 047 toner those printers use. Canon rates it at approximately 12,000 pages, roughly seven and a half toner cartridges, so it is replaced far less often. Genuine Canon supplies are built to the same specifications as the printers they go into, which is what keeps output consistent and helps prevent the smearing and streaking that non-genuine parts can introduce.
