The PGI-9 Clear Ink Tank is the reactor ink in Canon's ten-tank PGI-9 set for the PIXMA Pro9500 series, MX7600 and iX7000. It is not a colour: it covers the print surface so pigment ink stays on top of plain paper instead of sinking into the fibres. The result is higher sharpness with less bleeding, print-through and curling on ordinary stock. It installs in its own tank beside the nine colours and is replaced independently.
