The EOS R50 makes serious photography feel simple. Its 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processor keep noise low and detail high, delivering the natural bokeh a phone can't produce. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II covers up to 100% x 100% of the frame with 651 zones and uses deep-learning subject detection to find and track people, animals and vehicles automatically. Burst shooting runs to 12 fps with the electronic first-curtain shutter and 15 fps electronically, while Advanced A+ Assist handles tricky backlit and night scenes for you. For video it records uncropped 4K at up to 30p oversampled from 6K, Full HD at up to 120p, and keeps rolling for up to an hour — with UVC webcam streaming, a vari-angle touchscreen and a bundled RF-S18-45mm STM lens.
