This is the mixed charcoal set: six drawing pencils, three charcoal pencils, a paper stump, a kneadable eraser and a double-hole sharpener. Wood-cased charcoal is the practical kind: it sharpens to a point, keeps the charcoal off your hands, and still gives the deep velvety blacks and textured matte finish that make charcoal worth the mess. The laydown is soft and blends readily, so passages can be lifted and reworked rather than committed to. Charcoal runs soft, medium and hard. Wood is PEFC-certified.
